All for the Sake of Content

Image
(Picture credits: BBC) 'Entertainment', is an industry that could never go extinct as the demand is ever growing. There has been attempts to satisfy this thirst with audio and video content ie. movies and music. But with time even they have had to evolve. Modern-day visual content is what we see on social media via influencer content creation. People have dubbed these creators as undeserving of the fame and platform they possess, but do they see the work that goes into this? In my opinion, any person or entity that has reached a point of fame, not infamy, but fame cannot get there on a whim of luck. There is luck involved but more of a risk to put themselves out there on a stage that could reject you with no real reasoning. To break out of that, one needs an extremely creative mind and consistency that cannot be faked. All for the sake of content. Learning finds a way........

Like all the happenings in current times, they all root from the same common problem. THE CORONA VIRUS. The Virus that has managed to make everyone adjust their lives and everything about it. For most of this lockdown most everything had to be shut down bar the essentials and unfortunately schools and educational institutes were one of them that didn't make the final cut. With restrictions being eased regardless of the number of virus infected people, schools and other educational institutes are slowly beginning their ascend to normality. Now in India at least, they haven't gone and opened up schools yet but they are attempting through online google or zoom classrooms.  They have been going on for a while now but I have been waiting for me to experience it through either a college or some sort of class. And I have been for roughly the last 2 days. Yes its not the biggest sample size in the world but I would like to report about it before it goes out of "trend". Aristo...

Marvel's Avengers: A review

Image
Before you start to grill me, no not the movie, the game that was extremely well awaited by all the marvel and superhero geeks, even gamers alike. Superhero video games haven't exactly been the cream of the crop but they always do have a big following and big numbers just from the names they have. In the movie and T.V. scene they are always crushing records, especially Marvel with their Avengers franchise. And they wanted to try to replicate their success in the gaming genre.  Like I mentioned before, there have never consistently been superhero games that have been able to make any sort of  effect in the industry. Their games have always been okay with a pretty "eh" storyline and even more "eh" gameplay. However, they had recently been able to find their winning formula with their superhit " Marvel's : Spiderman " which really swooped the nation with its fun free roam ability, interesting storyline and realistic graphics. All they had to do was b...

Basic Koalafications #2

Yes, yes I know, let me first address the elephant in the room. I haven't uploaded in a while. I'm Sorry okay? but I haven't seen any news that I have really found interesting and like I said before I don't want to only be reporting sports news, at least for now. Also, I have been really busy with other stuff that I wanted to do before everything restarts but I promise to find a way to balance it all.  Now back to the matter at hand, in todays edition of Basic Koalafications we are going to be talking about another proverb that is very useful when applied to your own life. Something I picked by myself but I do want to take your suggestions, so as soon this post goes live I'll put up a story on my Instagram @underkoalafied and take some of your suggestions.  Learn to walk before you run A phrase/proverb finding its origin from back in the 15th century. Taking its literal meaning suggests that a child first learns to walk and once comfortable attempts to learn to run...

BLACK LIVES MATTER

George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and now Jacob Blake, names that just scratch the surface of a problem so dire and so morally wrong yet not being given the proper attention it needs.  Racism, a word that means being treated differently because of the color of your skin. something you can't and will never be able to control. What I just mentioned to you is not top secret information, yet people still feel they can turn a blind eye to it. There is discrimination everywhere, but in the US it has been given the time of day, where the whole world gets to hear and see the mistreatment of people for being different.  We all have heard the stories of those 3 individuals, but why hasn't it brought about any real change. People have brought about the awareness and have given solutions to these problems yet every week we see something even more disturbing than before. Breonna Taylor, shot 8 times in her own home in the middle of the night for doing nothing except living her life. Georg...

The reach of a legend

In recent history, no one has seen a year as bad as 2020. We always feel we've had a bad year, but this year has been bad for all because we all went through more or less the same things, and it was hard. But here we are, 8 months in and some of us still haven't recovered from things happened in January, let alone everything happened since then. However, once we get through this, and get to the other side of this dark, long tunnel of despair, we'll come out stronger and with a new appreciation for our life and loved ones.  Today is the 24th of August. A day, that might not mean anything to many, but to me and many other Laker Ultras and just basketball fans, it is a special day. When Kobe Bean Bryant finally decided to call it a career and finally hang up his boots, just hours after he dropped a 60 piece in a win against the Jazz. A REAL KILLER. Because of all he had done for the city of Los Angeles and basketball, the city of LA paid him back by making 24/8 as Kobe day. 1 ...

Basic Koalafications ( A NEW SERIES ) #1

Image
I have found it so hard to find stuff interesting enough for me to cover. There is no drama, no controversy, nothing that is not political that I feel the need to take interest over. Even the meme platform is pretty dead. Sports is booming but I'm not BR or ESPN who report only news segments, I want to flex my creativity on this platform, hence this series. I have tried my best to write my pieces with a lot of factual content and less emotions and opinions involved but in this series you will get an opportunity to know me as a person and I promise to always " keep it a hundred " with you all.  This series in essence, is an expansion of idea based concept but a little bit more deeper than needed. Maybe you are one looking for a motto to live by or maybe you are a student who is trying to complete their English assignment, don't worry, we cater to all audiences. The proverb for today is something my dad says he lives by and I can see why. He was always in very difficul...
